MAKATI, PHILIPPINES –Mr. Jay Anthony M. Agosto, president and CEO, e-Matrix Integrated Solutions Inc. was the guest speaker in the Computerworld (Philippines) Executive Briefing on November 8, 2011 held at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center. Jay talked about the impact of technology and social media in business. Taking the audience back in time for a moment, Jay explained how business went on twenty years ago considering the technology tools used in communication and collaboration.
Surpassing the traditional era with the aid of advanced technology tools, Jay went on discussing how the way to conduct business and interaction improved in the Information Age. He further expounded that technology is a very important aspect in making social media possible. Some of the impact of technology and social media presented were expansion of market reach, ability to respond to changing market condition and availability of information, establishment of market presence, ability to reach partners and clients any time, improvement in personal relationship with partners and clients, and considerable reduction of operating and marketing costs. Jay plans to continuously maximize the use of social media to benefit the business, as the company implements policies and procedures to minimize the risks involved.
